classic black and white portraits

Here’s a selection of  black and white photographic portraits from a shoot for Carpenter Faraday.  I set up in their offices with lighting and using a blank wall as the background.  For each person I provided a selection of images (mainly in colour) looking into the camera some away from the camera,  some serious or pensive others less so.   I do really like black and white though,  it strips out one layer of the image which is purely the colour,  and leaves you as a viewer engaged only with the expression, mood and emotion of the person in front of you.
