This was an interesting and very rewarding shoot. Asked by a Saudi artist to create a portrait where she couldn’t be identified. We discussed various ways of capturing the image and as with the best portraiture the majority of the time is spent talking and getting to know the personality behind the image. After three shots this was the outcome. We took a handful more but knew almost instantly that this image was going to work on every level and there was no need to shoot any more.
