People often wonder what can be achieved in a day on a commercial photoshoot. Recently we have been working with Marlow Ropes in Hailsham. They initially required new portraits of their staff, there were about 30 staff members which were available during the day. As well as this they wanted some images of their buildings, people at work in the factory and a group photo of their workforce. It was possible to achieve all of this in a 6 hour shoot, which is the time we allocate for a full day allowing for the post production time spent back at the studio.
The portraits were requested to be in black and white and we were left to our own creativity to photograph the staff in the offices on the factory floor and in the warehouses. Marlow Ropes is a very old company based in Hailsham, the town’s economy in the early stages was largely based around the rope company and and is still a significant British manufacturing company.
“Marlow Ropes Ltd have recently been working with JIMPIX to produce a new set of office and staff portrait photography. Jim has been great to work with, a straight forward well informed process and most importantly the ability to put the staff at ease when shooting. The outcome is a great set of shots of all the staff as well as some really good general office/ building/ staff shots. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a photographer in the Sussex area. Thanks Jim and we look forward to our 2nd shoot!”
