Getting access to the behind the scenes workings at a big classic hotel is a photographers dream! The Grand in Eastbourne is exactly this kind of establishment and is part of the Elite Hotel Group. The aim of the shoot was to create dynamic reportage images of people at work to use for Elite’s recruitment.
Using the available light and working around people getting on with their job is how I like to create interesting eye-catching images showing people at their best. There is a lot of need for organisations to portray their workforce as motivated, happy engaged people who are proud of their roles. Capturing this side of employment is what I like to do and a great use of photography which can say so much more than words in a simple image.
