Miniature figures in a real world

This was a lovely shoot to do for headhunting consultants Natural Selection.  There’s a real playfulness about working with little figurines in everyday settings.  We intended to create a feeling of the different evolutionary stages of human beings.  Starting with an ape and progressing to an urban business type!  The images were used in different colours on their finished website but started off as 3D printed models painted red.  We shot the primitive looking images in the Julian’s garden and went down to Jubilee Square in Brighton to get a sense of modern urban steel and glass.  It was an interesting use of skills from my point of view,  a combination of product photography,  reportage style and landscape photography.
